Owner, Scholz Nonprofit Law

Melissa Auchard Scholz is the principal attorney for Scholz Nonprofit Law, a Madison-based firm focused on serving the tax and corporate legal needs of nonprofits and social entrepreneurs. Prior to going to law school, Melissa helped form a nonprofit focused on youth service, worked as a professional fundraiser, and served on the Dane County Board of Supervisors. Melissa remains active as a community volunteer, including these current Board roles: Building Brave, Play Fair Wisconsin (fair political maps), Foundation for Madison’s Public Schools, UW-Madison’s Morgridge Center for Public Service and March for Our Lives Action Fund (youth-led gun violence prevention based in Parkland, FL).
