Jean is a highly accomplished C-Suite Leader who has transformed organizations into top performers. As the EVP of Fisher-Price for Mattel, Jean led the strategic and creative direction for the $2B global division. She guided the creative and marketing teams to reclaim Fisher-Price as the world’s leading child development brand.
As President of the American Girl company, Jean provided executive leadership for all functions of $500M P&L. She initiated a growth strategy that included the first global brand expansion, flexible new store formats, and highly successful entertainment experiences.
Jean grew the Worldwide Barbie brand from $500M to $2B achieving a 20% compound growth rate and used her deep global market intelligence to eliminate the #1 competitor in the UK; resulting in dramatic European market share growth. In addition, she drove the highest holiday sales in Mattel history.
As CEO of Gateway Learning, she led a management team through multiple stages culminating in the sale to Sylvan Learning. Jean began her career at Hallmark and earned her BS in Marketing at the University of Missouri.
