CEO, Girl Scouts of Wisconsin Southeast
Christy L. Brown has results-oriented experience for over two decades in education, human and social services, and corporate law. Currently, Christy is CEO of Girl Scouts of Wisconsin Southeast, (GSWISE), serving over 37,000 girl and adult members. During her tenure GSWISE has moved from 4th to 2nd in the nation of 111 councils in market-share.
Prior, Christy was Vice Chancellor, Finance and Administrative Affairs at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM). As the Chief Business and Financial Officer for UWM and its 30,000 students, her responsibilities were overseeing a $650 million budget, 3,500 employees and all non-academic campus operations. Christy came to UWM from the Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC), where she was Executive Vice President and General Counsel. Before MATC, Christy was at Lutheran Social Services, and promoted to VP, Southeast Region, from VP, Human Resources and Corporate Counsel. She began as a labor and employment law attorney at Michael Best.
