Successes include moving 1,596 families out of homelessness, employing 1,962 individuals (305 at family-sustaining wages), connecting 20,000 students with trained volunteers to help them read at grade level and pass algebra, and reducing by 20% the rate of adverse drug events and falls in our older adult population. Renee has helped raise $312 million and activate over 328,000 volunteers during her tenure. United Way galvanizes 30,000 donors, 800 businesses, 100 nonprofit partners, and many more to make positive change, together. Renee and United Way believe in the potential that lies within all people, and are committed to fostering empowerment of that potential.
